What I'm Reading...

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

Summary-

True love is shrouded in secrets and lies in the enchanting second book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Infernal Devices Trilogy, prequel to the internationally bestselling Mortal Instruments series.
In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when it becomes clear that the mysterious Magister will stop at nothing to use Tessa's powers for his own dark ends.
With the help of the handsome, tortured Will and the devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister's war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal and fueled by revenge. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister knows their every move-and that one of their own has betrayed them.
Tessa is drawn more and more to Jem, though her longing for Will continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa answers about who she really is? As their search leads to deadly peril, Tessa learns that secrets and lies can corrupt even the purest heart.

5/5 stars, recommend to everyone (yes, it is that great)

If you are looking for an "aw" worthy, I-can't-take-my-eyes-off-the-page chick-lit, Anna and the French Kiss is the book for you.

Set during a full school year, Anna, a funny, quirky girl with a passion for reviewing movies, is sent to The School of America in France for her senior year. Upset from leaving her friends and a possible boyfriend at home, she arrives in France alone and worried. (and lost). Thankfully, Anna is soon taken under the wing of her new friends, including Etienne St. Clair. (Que a hundred teenage girls screaming).

Etienne, or St. Clair as called by his friends, is every teenage girls dream boyfriend. With amazing hair, gorgeous eyes, and *gasps* a British accent, Anna is attracted to him at first sight. The only thing unattractive about him, though, is that he has a girlfriend.

As the school year unfolds, so do the characters, which are more complex and layered near the end. Especially Etienne, who we get to see every side of, and we, and Etienne, experience great character development with him.

Throughout the year, Anna and her charming friends go on nights in town, watch movies, drink hot chocolate, and get in a lot of drama, such as: drama between Anna and the "mean girl" at school, Anna and her friends, and Anna and Etienne, which is by far the worst (or the best) and most frustrating. (Think yell-at-your-book and rip-out-your-hair frustrating).
But the drama, although frustrating, keeps you addicted to the story, and will keep you wondering how it will end.

Not all the story is drama, don't worry! Although I like myself some great drama, I do like cute and realistic romance more, which Anna and the French Kiss delivers, in abundance. (YES!) The Anna and Etienne chemistry will leave you smiling uncontrollably, sighing happily, and wondering, "JUST GET TOGETHER ALREADY" as you read on.

Anna and the French Kiss is one of those feel-good chick-lits that will keep you entertained and attached while you read, and leave you feeling satisfied after the ending. If you're looking for a *quick, great, book with lots of feels and a VERY ATTRACTIVE American-French guy with a British accent (what's not to love?) do yourself a favor and pick this book up. You won't be let down.

*as in, finish-it-in-one-day quick

NOTE: This is my first review, so I am sorry if there are mistakes or is not professional

What I'm Reading... (among other things)

Hello everyone! Or should I say, bonjourno, in Italian! If you have been wondering why I have not been on since the 17th of July, (!!!) it is because I have been on vacation in Italy, which has been amazing! (besides the fact that I have had about little to no time to read! Noooo)
Since the last time I have been on, I have read Cinder, My Life Next Door, finished These Broken Stars, and Anna and the French Kiss! (Check out my review on Goodreads-link in About Me-and on this blog!)
I will be in Croatia with no WIFI *gasps* for 9 days, but don't think I have have forgotten all about you lovely readers!
I promise after all this craziness ends, I will be very active and post good quality posts and more review for the books you love. (not just these "What I'm Reading" posts). If you want more current updates, follow my Instagram and twitter! (link in About Me) Again, I am so very sorry, but I will make it up to you, readers!
Now that we are all caught up, time for my current read!
